Why buy a prestigious agricultural estate

A prestigious agricultural estate consists of a prestigious home (château, manor house, mansion, etc.) and a farm (farmland, buildings, equipment, livestock, etc.) dedicated to livestock or crops.

If you run your own farm, it may be worth setting up a Groupement Foncier Agricole and/or a farming company. In this case, you can set up a long-term lease and enjoy the same benefits.

You will also benefit from a tax allowance on the value of the property for the purposes of free transfer duties (gifts, inheritances) or for the purposes of the Impôt sur la Fortune Immobilière (property wealth tax).
